The implementation of a fast-tracked schedule for the construction of the plaza at the riverfront entrance to Acrisure Stadium ensured completion for the opening day of the Steeler’s exhibition game in August 2001. Mascaro's ability to self-perform earthwork, concrete pavement, concrete retaining walls, and the concrete monumental stairs aided in keeping the schedule on track. Other scope items included irrigation piping, seeding and landscaping, asphalt pavement, site and brick pavers, and other amenities.
